Album: Featured Daylilies navigate UP
'Carolyn Grace' (Jeffcoat J 2012) TET, DOR, 36, MRE, 7, EXT (SPREAD YOUR WINGS x seedling) $75 double fan CAROLYN GRACE is named for a daylily friend who is just full of life, loves daylilies and especially enjoys photographing them. She chose this flower and I think it expresses her personality. The 36 inch strong straight scapes carry the 7 inch flower well above the foliage with 3 to 4 way branching and 17 buds. CAROLYN GRACE is a rose pink blend with a yellow to cream watermark and cream midribs above a yellow green throat. I crossed my SPREAD YOUR WINGS, which is lavender purple, with a seedling and got several different colors ranging from the rose pink of CAROLYN GRACE to reds and purples with watermarks. There will be more introductions to come from this cross.
