I have been growing this flower for seven years – have given it away many times, but finally decided to offer it for it’s distinct rosy red color and it’s twisting and curling sepals. As the sepals curl and twist the back side of the sepals highlight the large yellow green throat and the petals pinch to give it another crispate look. The medium tall heavy scapes have 3 way branching with 15 buds and carry multiple blooms well above the medium green foliage. It’s garden presence is welcome although it does not rebloom. I have seedlings from it that are larger and I have also crossed it with my HEAVENS TO BETSY to increase branching and rebloom.
