2012 Introductions of McNeill Carter

Mac Carter We are pleased to offer the last of the daylilies that we have been growing and introducing for Mack Carter of Marble Gardens in Marble, NC.

We are sad to report that Mack passed away in November 2010. We will continue to introduce the remainder of his plants as we develop stock.

Mack had been hybridizing for a number of years starting after his retirement and has produced many excellent daylilies, but in the past several years he had been unable to do any advertising. We have purchased and grown his introductions since the mid 90’s and are quite familiar with the quality of his daylilies.

He created a beautiful garden which he carved out of the wilderness in the foothills of the NC mountains. Not only did Mack grow and hybridize daylilies, but he grew many companion perennials, hosta, conifers and lilies. Mack just loved all plants. He has a line of blue eyed and edged, beautiful reds, near whites, near blacks, pinks, large clear yellows and several unique small and miniature flowers.
